UP Academy Charter School of Boston is a public, tuition-free, college preparatory middle school that will serve students in grades 6, 7 and 8.

The school will be located at 215 Dorchester Street in South Boston (the current location of the Patrick F. Gavin Middle School, which will be closing at the end of the 2010-11 school year).

Any student who is a resident of Boston and, as of August 2011, has completed 5th, 6th, or 7th grade is eligible to apply. Interested families must submit enrollment forms to UP Academy by 4:00 PM on the Friday, June 3 enrollment deadline to be considered in UP Academy's June 8 lottery.
